Onstage allows you to publish short excerpts of your ongoing work or as we call it Soundbites. Your Soundbites receive comments from the network and help you further improve the piece you are working on. Soundbites could be grouped into Projects, Collections, Sessions or tagged for further recognition by the community.
Soundbites are limited to 45 seconds. Feel free to upload a larger Sound and use our crop tool to create a Soundbite from it.
Adjust your new Soundbite's details.
Save and Publish. We will notify everyone in your circle that you have started a new collaboration.
Upload
The upload has been designed as a one step process. Behind its simplicity is a pack of technology and features. At the time of upload we process, protect and analyse your file and create a Soundbite or a larger Sound for future use.
Soundbites are the heart of Onstage and are limited to 45 seconds. We will automatically process your Soundbite and allow you to further customise and adjust for broader reach.
If a file's duration is longer than 45 seconds, the application will still analyse it and allow you to crop and create multiple Soundbites. The last 3 Soundbites will be store for future use.
Organize
Keep your Soundbites organised. Multiple way of cataloging for easier access, wider reach and better exposure.
Collections. Collect Soundbites created by any member and organise them in Collections. Keep it cool and easily add custom covers.
Projects. Similar to Collection, Projects allow you to catalog Soundbites related to a single Project. You may only add your own Soundbites.
Tags. Add descriptive tags for future reference and wider reach. It is important to properly tag your Soundbites as other musicians will be able to faster and quicker connect with you.
Profile
Adjust you profile settings:
Manage Profile. Add or change your profile picture, name, location, proficiency or adjust you bio.
Account settings. Change your username, email or update your password. Link your Facebook or Twitter accounts for quicker sign in and extended reach.
Notifications. We will notify you for user activity related to you or your Soundbites. Adjust which notifications you would like to receive.
Invites. Invite other professionals to Onstage. Simply add their Name, Email and click on Send Invite. We will send an invite with authorisation codes for joining Onstage.io. Please note that once your invitee has registered she or he will always be associated with you in their profile.
Get Social
Create professional connections and reach higher exposure of your work by using any of our social tools.
Follow. Start following a fellow musician. We will notify them of your interest and place their Soundbites in your Soundbites Dashboard (Following). You will be notified of user actions of members that you follow.
Like. Show your love for a Soundbite by liking it. We will further adjust your Soundbite stream based on your Likes.
Share. Take it a step further by sharing a Soundbite to Facebook, Google+, Tweet about it or simple send a customised link to the Soundbite. Privacy concerns? No worries, only the visual representation of the Soundbite is shared. The Soundbite could only be heard by active Onstage members. In other words, your creative work is protected.
Sessions. We took this from a real life example. Add a variation to a Soundbite and start or contribute to a Session. Every Soundbite has the potential to start a session and all musicians are encouraged to contribute. A new and creative way to be social while actively participating in the collaborative process.
Privacy
We take your privacy and creative work protection seriously. Your email and other sensitive details will never be shared with a third party. We only send emails if authorised and your notification preferences could be adjusted in your profile.
Creative Work. Soundbites are securely stored and protected on our global distribution system. We only allow logged in and active Onstage users to listen to your creatives. Sharing a Soundbite page will only share the visual representation (waveform) of your work. Great to expose while protecting your work. Should you have any concerns or questions please send us an email to blog.
