Bulgarian-born pianist Asen Doykin has been part of the New York performing and academic scene for the past sixteen years. In demand, and well-known, Asen has played at some of the city's best known performance venues and jazz clubs such as: The Steinway Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Blue Note, Smalls Jazz Club. Asen has recorded and performed with some of the most prominent jazz musicians on the New York and world scene. He has worked with Pino Paladino, Joe Locke, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Francisco Mela, Myron Walden, Vincent Ector, Uri Gurvich, Peter Slavov, Theodosii Spassov,among many others. He has released two albums as a leader and his music has been featured at the 2010 Cannes Film festival and HBO.
