About Orjen Ridanovic
Throughout my career in music I performed on many local and international venues. I founded Oridano Gypsy Jazz Band, a band based on the Gypsy Jazz tradition and following Django Reinhardt's footsteps in 2010 and from then onwards almost exclusively performed under that name, namely as a trio, quartet, quintet and sextet. All of the former and current members were well known Croatian jazz, blues, classical and world music musicians. In 2015 I founded Hitchtone Music & Promotion, and independent record label based in Zagreb, which released several notable records, namely the albums Secrets of a Memory (2015) by the acclaimed Greek gypsy jazz quintet The Ghost Notes and the album Smoke Stained Cackle by the well known British violinist Patrick Walker and his Patrick Walker Trio. The record label also released a single by the renowned Croatian jazz band Culibrk – Novak – Golubic Trio (2015), and Oridano Gypsy Jazz Band's single Oridance, which announced their upcoming albums to be released by Hitchtone Music & Promotion in 2015 and 2016.
